Purchase of this service includes the initial discovery meeting to get to know you as a client, and learn about your project!
Illustrations are divided into three main categories:
Unlike standalone illustrations, comic prices reflect panel and page densities.
Standard Page: (4-6 panels) $180-$220
Dense Page: (7-9 panels) $220-$260
Splash Images: (Single-page detailed image) $325-$400
Spread Images: (Double page detailed image) $500-$800
- Cover imagery is typically charged in this range.
What to expect…
Discovery Phase
Initial Client Meeting: Project scope, themes, influences, script and pitch (Included in purchase)
Story Board: Thumbnails & pacing map for the entire book. (billed at $75/hr)
- Includes panel breakdowns, page composition, camera angles, character designs, story beats, word bubbles, etc. (A fully readable comic)
- May include color renderings, lighting/value studies, silhouette tests, depending on needs of client and story.
Production Phase
Pencils: Refined character acting, environmental depth, cinematic framing and lighting studies.
Inking: Finalized line work and completion of all word bubbles. (Client options for line weights and ink texture prior to starting)
Rendering: Full grayscale or color rendering of all characters/environments (including texture, atmospheric lighting, shadows, etc)
*Client receives 2 free edits per page
* The final bill will include Discovery + All Production
